Does my player have to attend both evaluation days?
It is recommended (not required) to evaluate on both Saturday and Sunday if wanting to be considered for Majors. Otherwise only attend one evaluation.
What equipment do I need to purchase?
The league provides a game jersey, hat and socks as part of the uniform. We also have team bats and helmets for use for those that don’t have their own.
VRLL recommends players have their own helmets for sanitary reasons. One can be purchased for $20 through our league.

I’m not sure what size glove or bat is best for my child, what do I do?
Consult any VRLL coach to get help with proper sizing for your player. Bats must have the “USA Baseball” logo.
My child plays another sport or activity, can he/she still play baseball/softball?
Absolutely! We encourage participation in multiple sports and activities. We understand there may be conflicts, inform your coach of any potential conflicts.
What is the time commitment?
It varies by level and is at a coach’s discretion and weather dependent.
· Majors typically have 4-5 events per week (practice or game).
· Minors is typically 3-4 events
· Farm is typically 3 events
· TeeBall is 2 events (Wed/Sat)
When will I know what team my child is on?
Teams are built from the majors division down. Majors teams will be notified typically within a week after evaluations. Minors and Farms teams are built afterward. All players should know their team assignments by the second or third week of March.

Are protective cups required for boys?
This is a family decision, however if your son is a catcher a protective cup is required.
I would like to coach or volunteer; how do I get involved?
Go to the registration page at Vernon-rockvillelittleleague.org and fill out the “2023 Coach & Volunteer Registration” form. You will then be sent a request for a background check and a VRLL representative will reach out.
